Overview
Born To Build has been operating in North Carolina since the late 1990's and has been in Wilmington and the surrounding areas since 2004 doing custom framing/remodels as well as commercial projects.  We started from scratch and have been expanding with the local market.

James Davis, owner and operator of Born To Build, is the Chief Operating Officer of Born To Build, Inc.  He has taken this company from a sole proprietorship to an incorporated body that has a very bright future.  His hard work and leadership has guided this company to being a well known company that has a reputation in the area for quality and value.

Bill Sutherland partnered with Born To Build in 2010 and has helped to grow the company to where we are today.  Bill's contributions to the company ensures that we get the project done on time and at the agreed terms.  He is a long time builder in Wilmington and his supervision is what makes Born To Build a reliable company.  His partnership with James has allowed Born To Build to be the perfect company.  The quality of the builds we do are in large part the result of Bill's oversight.

We do work for several of the highest quality contractors in the area.  We also do work for individual home owners doing up-fits/trim (interior or exterior) and large remodels.

Our team is made up of career minded carpenters that move quickly and efficiently at their given tasks.  A company is only as good as its team members and we are one of the best in Wilmington.

Our Passion
We love building custom homes on and around Wrightsville Beach/Landfall/Figure 8 and as far away as Top Sail Island.  We welcome the newer more complex projects and can put a fair number on the unknown.

We are members of the Home Builders Association and the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating over the last 6 years.  Our primary goal is to have a happy customer upon completion of every project.
